NGE 2009 Team in Switzerland

Our current NGE 2009 team is in Switzerland.

One team member reported:

"First stop was Biel, which was lovely.  I stayed with the President of the club, Hans Jacobe, who has a beautiful house in the suburbs, right outside of the main town area.  We visited vineyards, toured the town, hiked, shopped, and ate PLENTY of cheese!  We also were able to visit the Swiss Institute of Sport and the newest addition to the town hospital - the Pediatrics Ward.  On my professional day, I attended the Museum de Archeologie.  It was very interesting and I learnt a great deal.

We are now in Thun. We've had a tour of the city, both by boat and by foot, been shopping and visited Ballenburg (mountainous area - like Old Sydney Town)!  We also attended our second Rotary lunch and made our second presentation (which was watched by the Rotary District Governor).  It was a great success.

Tomorrow we are off to Fribourg to play Urban Golf and discover more of the French-speaking areas of Switzerland.  I am very excited!"
